The Flying Pig Bookstore
I opened the Flying Pig bookstore in 1996 with stand-up comedian Josie Leavitt. We had both been teachers (and I was also a school librarian) in NYC, and shared a love of books. Now, our chock-full store has more than 30,000 books in it, at least 80% of which are for children and teenagers.
